Full Time Ultimate

Sep 14, 2012

Turns out "ultimate player" was not on my list of things I want to be when I grow up.  And I also hated writing.  I thought if I ever became a teacher, I'd prefer that someone shoot me and put me out of my misery.

So anyway... here we are.  Back on the blog with the goal of teaching you how to best make use of your athletic potential.  AND I am happy (and still somewhat surprised) to announce that ultimate is now my full time job.

Thank you THANK YOU to each and every one of you who has bought The Ultimate Athlete Handbook and/or joined The Ultimate Athlete ProjectYour support makes this possible.  Even if you didn't buy any of my stuff, if you've been reading the blog, if you've ever left a comment, if you've ever emailed me a question or an encouragement,  THANK YOU!

I thoroughly enjoyed this past year working at Power Train Sports Institute and I highly recommend their facilities to any individual or player looking to crush it!  The workouts are hard (as members of The Ultimate Athlete Project can attest) and having a trainer to watch your every rep makes you go even harder.  The best thing about Power Train is that every athlete is accompanied by a trainer for every rep of every workout.  Each trainer takes 3 athletes at once so you still feel like you have training partners (and this makes it surprisingly more affordable than having a personal trainer).  There's a great vibe in the place when it's filled with athletes from all sports working toward their goals.

As much fun as I was having there, it's time to keep moving on with my true mission in life which is improving the quality of athletes in the ultimate community.  I've realized I just can't do two jobs at once.  Hence, the lack of blogging since February.

Anyway, to start us off right and to help me get back into the regular writing habit, I'm creating a series of:

Twenty-Five tips to improve your ultimate performance
